Swine Flu, Touring, Hobos, and Vegans

While the world is being brought to its knees by swine and their powerful (yet seemingly non-lethal) biological warfare, Alison and I have been getting a good tour of our beloved home state. We've seen taints......we've seen glue factories being converted for the inevitable collapse of civilization (perhaps the Muslims and Jews were right? Pigs ARE evil!)....We've been welcomed into every town by new, exciting people....from drunken college mall punks, to trainhoppers, gardening hippie activists, dancers and artists who love a good Neutral Milk Hotel cover, and new pals in Norfolk working to build a larger radical community.

The scenery in West Virginia and the Blue Ridge Mountains was absolutely stunning (although my car wanted to kill me I'm sure) and was made all the better with a six-disc compilation of American Folk Music.

Now we are eating vegan bagels in Norfolk, and are about to head back to good ol' RVA for the May Day celebrations! Will update with pictures soon!
